Trent EDWARDS (Not Green) could be the fins new QB!

Apparently we could have a potential QB in the 2nd round. According to the Miami Herald the dolphins could be looking into Trent Edwards, from Stanford University.

From the Miami Herald:

Stanford QB Trent Edwards has emerged as a potential second-round Dolphins option. Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller went to Calif., to give him a private workout last week. . . . Notre Dame's Brady Quinn looked very sharp in his Dolphins workout in South Bend, Ind., on Tuesday, someone in attendance relayed. Quinn stayed after for a while to talk with Cameron and Mueller.

This could be great news for Miami. With a first round pick used to help the O-Line, someone like Levi Brown who could be available and the 2nd pick used for a franchise QB, the dolphins are really taking steps in the right direction. They still need to draft a Wideout but with so many good prospects in this years draft (Rice/Gonzalez/Steve Smith/Jason Hill/etc) who all should still be available by the second round, there are plenty of options to find a gem!

I personally LOVE this move! What do you think?

I'm not a fan. Seems like it would be another wasted 2nd round pick. Daunte is the man right now. Let's see what happens. We have other needs to fill.

Hey, thanks for the comment Darren.

All the same, I DO agree we should give Dante a chance THIS year I really believe that we need to have a QB for the following years to come. What happens if Dante really isn't up to par? What if he simply doesn't cut it. I think we need to cut our losses and draft someone who we know Cameron can mold and mold very well (look what he did in San Diego with Brees and Rivers). :)

Let's have faith and hope for the best!! Thanks a bunch for posting, I appreciate the comments and hearing the other side of the coin ;)

Cheers!
