NFL Bans Jones and Henry for 2007

Adam "Pacman" Jones from the Tennessee Titans and Chris Henry from the Cincinnati Bengals are both suspended during the 2007 season.

Chris Henry, who likely would have been Cincinnati's 3rd receiver with the departure of Kelley Washington will sit out the first 8 games of the season.

Henry was arrested four times in a 14-month span, resulting in two benchings by coach Marvin Lewis and a two-game league suspension. He was one of nine Bengals arrested in nine months.

Adam "Pacman" Jones on the other hand, has an even more costly sentence. Jones' off-field conduct has included 10 incidents where (at least) he was interviewed by the police. The most recent one took place in Las Vegas during the NBA All-Star weekend. Las Vegas police have recommended felony and misdemeanor charges against Jones after a fight and shooting at a strip club that ended up paralyzing one man.

According to ESPN, Jones could spend more or less time away from the league, depending on the developments of the case. Pacman Jones and Las Vegas should definitely stay away from each other if Jones wants back into the league.

Both of these players are suspended without pay and must apply for reinstatement to the league after their suspension's are served. Given Pacman Jones character, I hope he can turn it around and be welcomed back someday.
