A-Rod Silences Critics, Hits two-out 9th Inning Grand Slam to beat O's.

A-Rod should be able to ride this one, at least for a few weeks.

Alex Rodriguez's two out, 9th inning grand slam off O's closer Chris Ray, must have sent shivers through every yankees fan who have boo'ed A-Rod over the past few seasons. To sumarize, that is a LOT of people. The Yanks were down by 1 run, and when everyone thought A-Rod would choke again, he REALLY comes through.

It seems like Rodriguez has gotten his stroke back, hitting clutch for the yankees this season already, something he couldn't do in the October's past. It is no secret that A-Rod is getting tired of all the critics in New York, judging his play and there is a good chance he will not be in pinstripes next season.

At least for right now though, he's making a strong case for the Yankees to keep him around. The thing I don't understand... he's still one of the best players in the league, and puts up very impressive numbers. It must be tough being a Yankee, no matter how good you can hit a ball.
