Matt Schaub TRADED from Atlanta to Houston!

Houston has found its new franchise QB, and David Carr looks to be on his way out of town.

The Texan's agreed to trade for backup QB Matt Schaub from the Falcons in exchange for 2 second round picks (2007 and 2008) as well as swapping first rounders. Now the falcons will pick 8th, and the Texan's will pick 10th.

The Texan's also signed Schaub to a six year - 48 million dollar contract.

I guess the Texan's are going to invest in the second franchise QB for their team. For Kubiak's sake, they better hope so.

What kind of ripple effect will this have on the draft and other QB trades? Last time a player was traded, a flurry of other moves were signaled. What will happen next?

More to follow concerning this trade and the upcoming draft.
