Green Deal to Dolphins Hit a Snag?

Well some "Could be" good news for all the Trent Green haters.

Apparently there is a snag with the deal. The dolphins don't appear to be willing to give up anything more than a 6th or 7th rounder (upgraded most likely if he wins the starting job, which he probably will). So lets assume for the sake of arguments a 5th rounder if he wins the position. Point being, because of the deal with Schaub (who might I add has only played 2 NFL games in his entire life) the Chiefs now feel that Trent Green's value has gone way up, being he's a former pro-bowler and is a very good QB (yes he's a bit old, remember a guy named Rich Gannon? Green can still play, don't be fooled).

So the problem may be the Chiefs don't want to give him up for cheaply. What if Damon Huard struggles this year? Brodie hasn't proved a thing...

Also, the Detroit Lions have contacted KC about Green to add more to the mix.

There is still a good chance that Trent Green will be wearing Teal and Orange, however, the dolphins could easily say it isn't worth a day one draft pick (because it isn't) and sign David Carr. This would still signal the release of Culpepper. They also could elect to do absolutely nothing and go into the draft with what they have. There is still a lot of spectulation but it will be very interesting to see what happens between now and the draft.
